About the Role

Join the Team at Lake Cowal Redpath Australia is seeking experienced Underground Charge Up Operators to join our operations at Evolution Mining's Lake Cowal Underground Gold Mine in New South Wales. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a long-term project with a respected mining contractor while contributing to the safe and efficient delivery of underground mine development activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Charge underground development headings in accordance with blast designs and site procedures
• Safely handle and load explosives and initiating systems
• Prepare and tie in blast rounds for firing
• Conduct pre-start inspections and equipment checks
• Ensure compliance with all explosives handling, storage and transport requirements
• Work closely with Jumbo Operators and supervisors to maintain development schedules
• Identify and report hazards, incidents and equipment defects
• Complete charging documentation and blast records as required
• Maintain high housekeeping and safety standards underground

About You / Qualifications

• Previous underground mining experience in a Charge Up role
• Demonstrated experience charging underground development headings
• Current explosives handling accreditation and relevant mining tickets
• Strong understanding of drill and blast practices and safety procedures
• Commitment to safety and operational excellence
• Ability to work effectively within a high-performing team environment
• Current Australian work rights
• Ability to pass site medical and employment requirements
