Join us on the journey We are currently looking for multiple Casual Catering Assistants to join the Spotless team at the Yongah Hill Immigration Detention Centre in Northam, WA. As a subcontractor to Secure Journeys, Spotless is responsible for preparing and serving nutritious, culturally diverse meals that support the overall health and well-being of individuals within the centre.

About the Role

This role requires a Certificate II in Kitchen Operations (or higher). We’re seeking dedicated Catering Assistants who take pride in delivering high-quality food and service.

Up to 38 hours per week on a rotational roster.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in assembling, preparing, and producing meals as directed by the Chef Manager or Head Chef.
• Maintain cleanliness across food preparation and dining areas, including equipment and utensils.
• Adhere to the HACCP Food Safety Plan by upholding food safety and hygiene standards, completing all documentation accurately and on time.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and ensure it remains clean and well-maintained.
• Up to 38 hours per week on a rotational roster.

About You / Requirements

• Must hold Certificate II in Kitchen Operations or higher
• Must have a current Working with Children Check or willing to apply.
• Valid Food Safety Certificates
• Prior experience in a commercial kitchen setting
• Sound knowledge of HACCP Food Safety guidelines
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent teamwork and interpersonal abilities.
