About the Role

Join the Macmahon Surface Team as a Camp Maintenance Person at the Nifty Copper Project to provide high level support to project and be responsible for Maintaining the camp maintenance

  • 8:6 roster
  • Maintain and repair electrical systems across accommodation units, kitchens, laundries, admin buildings, and recreational facilities.
  • Diagnose and resolve faults in lighting, power circuits, motors, pumps, switchboards, and control systems.
  • Service and repair split systems, ducted AC units, packaged units, evaporative coolers, and commercial refrigeration equipment.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance aligned with the 8‑day swing to minimise downtime during off‑roster periods.
  • Complete testing and tagging, RCD testing, and electrical compliance checks.
  • Maintain accurate records of electrical work, HVAC servicing, and refrigerant handling.
  • Assist with general camp maintenance including minor plumbing, structural repairs, and outdoor infrastructure.
  • Work safely under mining protocols including JHAs, Take‑5s, permits to work, and isolation/LOTO procedures.
  • Collaborate with camp management, contractors, and site teams to resolve issues efficiently.

About You

  • Current A‑Grade Electrical Licence (WA or equivalent).
  • Certificate III in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning (or strong HVAC servicing experience).
  • ARCtick licence for refrigerant handling.
  • Demonstrated experience in electrical and HVAC maintenance in commercial, industrial, or remote environments.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to work independently.
  • High attention to safety and compliance.
  • Physically fit and comfortable working in hot, dusty, or remote conditions.
