We are seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to join our Blackwater operation — one of Australia’s largest open cut coal mines.
This is an excellent opportunity to take your HR career on site and partner closely with leaders in a dynamic, fast-paced mining environment.
About the Role
Based at Blackwater, this role partners closely with site leadership to deliver practical, value-adding HR support in a fast-paced mining environment.In this role you will:
- Partner with leaders to deliver HR strategies aligned to site objectives
- Provide advice and support on employee relations, performance and workforce matters
- Ensure compliance with company policies, legislation and safety regulations
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding processes.
- Contribute to the development of a positive work culture that supports teamwork and productivity.
- Engage and support stakeholders.
Key Qualifications:
- Demonstrate proactive attitude with a genuine passion for Human Resources and people outcomes
- Substantial HR experience, ideally within the Mining or a related heavy industry sector
- Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or a related discipline, highly regarded
- Working knowledge of employment legislation and Queensland industrial relations requirements
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across all organisational levels
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast‑paced, dynamic operational environment, with a strong emphasis on safety and productivity
- Well‑developed problem‑solving capability, with a practical, solutions‑focused approach
