Due to continued growth across Queensland, Linkforce is seeking experienced Boilermakers to join our Structural Integrity Team at our operation based in the Bowen Basin. This is a casual position offered on an ongoing long-term roster working a lifestyle-friendly 7/7 roster. October start.
About the Role
Working as part of a close-knit, high-performing team, you will deliver safe, efficient and compliant structural remediation and maintenance services to the onsite Coal Handling and Preparation Plant (CHPP). Your responsibilities will include:
- Performing maintenance works involving heavy and structural steel fabrication
- Complete plate work, pipe work, welding, cutting and fitting of steel componentry
- Support planned maintenance, breakdown and project CHPP works
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and fabrication specifications
- Inspect and maintain tools and equipment
- Complete pre-starts, JHAs and risk assessments
- Work safely in accordance with permit-to-work systems, isolation procedures, site requirements and applicable Australian Standards
What You’ll Need
You will be an experienced Boilermaker with a strong commitment to safety and previous experience completing structural remediation or fixed-plant maintenance within a CHPP environment. You will have:
- Australian-recognised Boilermaker trade qualification
- Ability to successfully complete a welding test
- Current Australian Driver’s Licence - C class minimum
- Working at Heights & Confined Space (within 2 years)
- Standard 11 (or willingness to obtain)
- Current Coal Board Medical (or willingness to obtain)
- BMA Core Inductions or SC Number is Highly Advantageous
- Clear communication and people skills
- Ability to work effectively with site management and clients
- An uncompromising commitment to workplace health and safety
