Our Opportunity
Location: Solomon - Fortescue’s Solomon mine is located on the traditional lands of the Eastern Guruma and Yindjibarndi peoples.
**Roster:**7D7N14R FIFO ex Perth and Busselton
As a Heavy Diesel Fitter in the Trucks Department (CAT 793) at Fortescue's Solomon Project, your expertise will be essential in maintaining and optimising Heavy Mobile Equipment (HME) critical to our operations, ensuring they operate efficiently and in alignment with our ambitious sustainability goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintenance of large-scale Mobile Mining Equipment
- Diagnostics and fault finding
- Workshop and pit duties as required
- Work collaboratively with all mobile maintenance teams to achieve 100% schedule compliance
- Ensure Fortescue and site operations procedures and policies are followed
Qualifications and Experience
- Australian Recognised Trade Certificate as a Heavy Duty (HD) Fitter or Diesel Mechanic for Heavy Mobile Equipment (HME)
- Previous experience working in the mining industry
- Experience with mobile plant equipment - CAT 793 essential
- Strong commitment to workplace safety
