Auto Electrician

About the Role

As an Auto Electrician with Redpath, you will be responsible for the electrical maintenance, diagnostics and repair of a modern fleet of Sandvik underground mining equipment, ensuring maximum reliability and safe operation across site.

Equipment includes:

• Sandvik development drills
• Sandvik production drills
• Sandvik loaders (LHDs)
• Sandvik trucks
• Auxiliary underground support equipment

You’ll work within a skilled maintenance team committed to safety, quality and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Electrical diagnostics, fault‑finding and repairs on Sandvik underground equipment
• Preventative and scheduled maintenance
• Breakdown response and troubleshooting
• Ensuring compliance with site, OEM and Redpath standards
• Accurate completion of maintenance records and reporting
• Contributing to a safe, efficient and team‑focused work environment

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For

• Trade‑qualified Auto Electrician
• Experience with Sandvik underground mining equipment (highly regarded)
• Strong diagnostic and problem‑solving skills
• Solid understanding of underground mining electrical systems
• Commitment to safe work practices and procedures
• Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team
• Previous underground or heavy industrial experience preferred
