Hays are currently seeking experienced Underground Auto Electricians for multiple FIFO opportunities across Western Australia's leading underground gold and hard rock mining operations.

About the Role

• Diagnosing and repairing electrical faults on underground mobile plant
• Scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance
• Troubleshooting CANBUS, PLC and OEM electrical systems
• Repair and installation of wiring harnesses, sensors and control systems
• Calibration and setup of OEM monitoring systems
• Heavy earthmoving equipment electrical repairs
• Breakdown response and field service support underground
• Reading and interpreting electrical schematics and technical manuals
• Completing maintenance reports and work orders accurately
• Ensuring compliance with site safety and statutory requirements

Equipment

You will be working on a variety of underground mining equipment, including:

• Sandvik development and production drills
• Sandvik DD series jumbos
• Sandvik DL series long-hole drills
• Sandvik loaders and underground trucks
• Epiroc production and development drill rigs
• Normet support equipment
• Ancillary underground mining equipment
• Previous experience on Sandvik, Epiroc, CAT or Normet equipment will be highly regarded.

What you'll need to succeed

• Australian recognised Auto Electrician Trade Qualification
• Previous underground mining experience
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
• Experience working on heavy mobile equipment
• Ability to interpret electrical and hydraulic schematics
• Strong commitment to safety and teamwork
• Current Australian Driver's Licence
• Full Australian working rights
