MACA is seeking Asset Specialist – Fleet to join our team. The successful candidate is responsible for supporting the development, optimisation and delivery of fleet and asset management solutions across mining project opportunities. The role works collaboratively with maintenance, operations, asset management and business development teams to provide technical expertise, lifecycle cost analysis and fleet planning strategies that support operational performance, commercial outcomes and long-term asset sustainability.

Key result areas include:
- Support the development of long-term fleet management plans and asset strategies.
- Review, develop and improve asset lifecycle cost models and estimates.
- Analyse historical fleet performance data to identify optimisation opportunities.
- Prepare Yearly machine Capital Budgets
- Assess and incorporate emerging mining equipment technologies and innovations into fleet strategies.
- Contribute to financing and asset acquisition solution assessments.
- Develop and maintain plant rate models for mining equipment.
- Build a strong understanding of total cost of ownership principles and associated balance sheet impacts.
- Support tender development through accurate cost modelling, assumptions and fleet analysis.
- Assist with preparation of business cases and capital expenditure justifications.
- Collaborate with operational stakeholders to ensure fleet support requirements are captured and aligned to project objectives.
- Work closely with business development, operations and maintenance teams to support current and prospective project opportunities.
- Present tender proposals, fleet assumptions and technical recommendations to senior management and stakeholders.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across asset management practices and systems.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Trade qualifications or tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Asset Management, Maintenance, Commercial, Mechanical, or related discipline preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in mining maintenance, fleet management or asset management environments.
- Strong understanding of heavy mining equipment used in open cut and/or underground operations.
- Experience in lifecycle costing, fleet planning and capital forecasting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capability with high attention to detail.
- Sound commercial and financial acumen, including understanding of total cost of ownership concepts.
- Well-developed communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams.
- Australian “C” class drivers’ licence
- High Risk Ticket
- Current police clearance
Desirable: - Apply First Aid Licence
