Subsidised residential or camp accommodation options available.Steelmaking coal is an essential ingredient in blast-furnace steel manufacture, producing steel used for critical building and infrastructure around the world. In Australia, we operate five steelmaking coal mines in Queensland’s Bowen Basin, and have additional joint venture interests in steelmaking coal and manganese, as well as copper exploration projects underway in North West Queensland and Western Australia. Job Description:We are currently seeking an experienced Diesel Fitter, to join the Southern Workshop Maintenance team at our Dawson Mine in Moura, QLD.To be successful in this role you will ensure compliance with all Anglo American safety and operating systems and have a commitment to working together as part of a team to achieve business objectives.Your core accountabilities will include:Ensure that plant and equipment is maintained to a high level.Undertake troubleshooting, fault finding, breakdown and preventative maintenance on various CAT & Komatsu Heavy Mobile Equipment (Dozers, Graders, Loaders, Trucks, Watercarts).Achieve performance targets in compliance with statutory, safety, health, budget and environmental requirements.Knowledge of SAP and Auto Electrical experience is not essential but highly desirable.
