WHS Administrator – Mining/Civil

About the Role

Protech are seeking an experienced WHS Administrator to join a high-performing team working at one of Australia’s largest mining projects. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a large-scale operation with a strong focus on safety, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working with systems and data, and is passionate about promoting a strong safety culture.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and administer the WHS management system, including accurate data entry and record keeping
• Collate and track incident reports and corrective actions through to closure
• Prepare monthly WHS performance reports and statistics
• Develop and distribute safety communications such as alerts, bulletins and posters
• Support site inductions and ensure compliance with onboarding requirements
• Assist with coordination of WHS training and competency records
• Provide support to team members navigating WHS systems and processes
• Assist in maintaining compliance with relevant safety standards, certifications and regulatory requirements
• Promote a proactive and positive safety culture across site

About You

• Previous experience in a WHS Administration or similar role
• Background in mining, civil construction, or heavy industry environments (highly regarded)
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage data accurately
• Sound understanding of WHS legislation and compliance requirements
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Strong organisational and communication skills

Qualifications & Requirements

• Certificate or tertiary qualification in WHS, Safety, or Business Administration (desirable)
• Construction White Card or equivalent
• Current Driver’s Licence
