About the Opportunity

• As a Building Certifier, you'll be responsible for assessing development applications, undertaking building inspections, providing expert technical advice, and ensuring projects meet legislative and regulatory requirements.
• Working closely with builders, developers, consultants, homeowners and internal stakeholders, you'll help deliver practical outcomes while maintaining high standards of compliance, safety and customer service.
• No two days are the same—you'll balance technical assessments with site inspections, stakeholder engagement and professional advice across a broad range of exciting developments.

About You

• We're looking for someone who combines strong technical capability with excellent communication skills and a genuine passion for helping people navigate the building approval process.
• You'll bring:
• Building Surveying qualifications (Degree or Advanced Diploma)
• Experience within building certification and construction
• Strong knowledge of Queensland building legislation and the National Construction Code
• The ability to interpret plans and provide practical, solution-focused advice
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
• Outstanding communication and customer service skills
• QBCC Building Certifier accreditation (or eligibility to obtain)
• White Card and current driver's license
• Experience within Local Government and a Pool Safety Inspector License will be highly regarded but aren't essential.
