We are currently seeking and experienced Outage Welding Supervisor to join our Team based onsite for an Outage project on a Power Station 2 hours north of Brisbane. As an Outage Supervisor you will be responsible for delivering high quality project services to the client and provide supervision and coordination as directed by the Outage Superintendents, Project Manager and the client.

Key responsibility areas

  • Ensure correct material, machinery, equipment and personnel are available and suitable for completion of work
  • Conduct toolbox / pre-start meetings daily
  • Responsibility that Leading Hands and labour are suitably trained and possess the necessary skills to undertake their designated responsibilities
  • Supervise and monitor welding activities
  • Assessment of risks and hazards involved in tasks, and methods to manage the hazards to prevent incidents, injury and damage
  • Maintain daily timesheets for labour and equipment
  • Plan and coordinate resources and equipment for the Outage and conduct the work in a safe, timely and cost-effective manner
  • Ensure that the quality requirements of the client are adhered to and that Company procedures are followed
  • Comply with all UGL and client safety policies and procedures

About You

·         Relevant Trade Certificate of qualifications

·         Weld Australia – Cert 10 qualification would be an advantage

·         Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role

·         Experience in maintenance or shutdown projects

  • Solid communication and written skills with the ability to establish clear lines of control and delegation
  • Be approachable and tactful with good time management skills
  • Strong client focus and a genuine desire to assist team members
  • Computer literacy and proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office products Word, Excel and Outlook
