About the role
In the vacation student geotechnical engineer role, gain hands-on experience supporting ground control and geotechnical activities across the mine site. Working alongside experienced professionals, you'll contribute to projects that help ensure safe and efficient mining operations.
Some of your work may include
- Assist with geotechnical monitoring and data collection.
- Support inspections of pit walls, underground workings and ground support systems.
- Analyse geotechnical data and monitoring results.
- Contribute to ground control and risk management activities.
- Assist with geotechnical reporting and documentation.
- Work with operational teams to support safe mining practices

About you
We're looking for motivated students who are curious, hands-on and keen to grow their technical skills.
- Studying geotechnical engineering, mining engineering, civil engineering or a related discipline.
- Genuine interest in geotechnical engineering and mining operations.
- A strong problem-solver with analytical thinking skills.
- A confident communicator and team player.
- Willing to live and work in a regional mining environment.
- Hold a valid manual driver's licence.
