Vacation Student Geology

About the Role

In the vacation student geology role, gain hands-on experience supporting geological activities across the mine site. Working alongside experienced professionals, you'll contribute to projects that help identify, evaluate and manage gold resources.

Some of your work may include:

• Assist with geological mapping and data collection.
• Support drill core logging and sampling programs.
• Analyse geological data and maintain databases.
• Contribute to resource definition and orebody interpretation activities.
• Assist with geological reporting and documentation.
• Work with mining and processing teams to support operational decisions.

Program locations

Northparkes Operations, NSW

• Roster: 5:2/4:3
• Included: Subsidised accommodation, flights at the start and end of the program, plus return travel over the festive period.

Cowal Gold Operations, NSW

• Roster: 5:2/4:3
• Included: Subsidised accommodation, flights at the start and end of the program, plus return travel over the festive period.

Ernest Henry Operations, QLD

• Roster: 5:2/4:3
• Included: Residential housing, site transport, flights at the start and end of the program, plus return travel over the festive period.

About you

We're looking for motivated students who are curious, hands-on and keen to grow their technical skills.

• Studying geology, geoscience or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated interest in gold mining and resource development.
• A strong problem-solver with analytical thinking skills.
• A confident communicator and team player.
• Willing to live and work in a regional mining environment.
• Hold a valid manual driver's licence.
