We’re looking for our future leaders and technical experts and have exciting opportunities for students in their penultimate year. Our 2026 opportunities on offer are the following:
ABOUT YOU
To be eligible, you will be:
- Currently studying towards relevant degree
- An Australian citizen or permanent resident
- Available for the full duration of the program: 12 weeks, commencing November 2026
- Based in Western Australia
Worsley Alumina Refinery - Collie
- Process Engineering (Disciplines accepted include Metallurgy, Chemical, or Materials Engineering)
Our Vacation Program runs over a 12-week period and is a pathway to our Graduate Program. It provides practical and hands-on experience to develop new skills and gain technical knowledge required to build your career and reach your potential.
The Vacation Program provides you with a unique opportunity to learn and excel in your chosen career. When you join the South32 Vacation Program you will:
- Gain practical and meaningful experience at your preferred operation
- Undertake a project relevant to your degree that you will own and deliver
