Your new company is a leading copper and gold mining and processing operation in the Mount Isa–Cloncurry region, known for its established operations and strong site culture.

Your new role

We are seeking motivated Entry Level Underground Nippers to join an underground mining team. This role will see you working a 7/7 & 8/6 roster with meals and accommodation provided while on site. FIFO options are available from Townsville and Cairns , or DIDO from Mount Isa .

As an Underground Nipper, you will play a key support role to the underground mining crew, assisting with:

• Delivering and transporting mining consumables underground
• Assisting Jumbo Operators and underground crews with daily activities
• Installing ventilation bags and services
• Assisting with cable management and water lines
• General underground housekeeping and clean-up duties
• Loading and unloading materials and equipment
• Maintaining a safe and productive work environment
• Following site safety procedures and instructions from supervisors

What you'll need to succeed

To be considered for this role, you must have:

• Previous labouring, construction, trade assistant, process plant, or mining experience (highly regarded)
• Current Open Manual Driver's Licence
• Strong commitment to safety and willingness to work underground
• Ability to undertake a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening
• Ability to obtain a National Police Check
• Physically fit and capable of performing manual tasks
