Underground HD Fitter/Auto Electrician | Flight Included | North West QLD

The Opportunity

We are partnering with a major underground operation in Northwest Queensland to secure experienced Heavy Diesel Fitters & Auto Electricians for their underground maintenance team.

This is a long-term opportunity on a tier one site with a stable, well-resourced workshop fleet.

The Details

• 7 days on, 7 days off roster
• $80 to $95 per hour depending on experience and tickets
• Flights ex Cairns, Townsville or Brisbane
• All meals and accommodation provided
• Underground role, workshop and field maintenance
• Ongoing work with a well-established contractor

The Fleet

You will be working across underground mobile equipment including:

• Sandvik loaders (LH514, LH517, LH621)
• Sandvik and Cat underground trucks (TH551, TH663, AD 50, AD55, AD60)
• Development jumbos (DD421, DD422)
• Production drills (DL411, Simba)
• Charge up units and IT rigs
• Normet agitators and Spraymec shotcrete sprayers
• Integrated tool carriers and underground service vehicles

What You Will Need

• Trade qualified Heavy Diesel Fitter or Auto elec. Dual trade highly desirable.
• Previous underground hard rock experience (essential)
• Standard 11 Generic Induction (current)
• Current C Class licence
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and D&A screen
• Strong fault finding and diagnostic ability

Highly Regarded

• Sandvik or Epiroc OEM experience
• Hydraulic and electrical fault finding
• Working at Heights, Confined Space, EWP tickets
