Job Description
About the Role
- Diagnosing mechanical issues on underground trucks, mobile plant equipment, light vehicles and other equipment as required for mining and underground.
- Diagnosing electrical issues on underground trucks, mobile plant equipment, light vehicles and other equipment as required for mining and underground.
- Diagnosing hydraulic issues on underground trucks, mobile plant equipment, light vehicles and other equipment as required for mining and underground.
- Performing routine maintenance and inspections to identify potential issues and prevent breakdowns.
- Disassembling and reassembling heavy equipment components.
- Using diagnostic tools and equipment to assess and repair equipment efficiently.
- Maintaining accurate records of maintenance and repair work.
- Ensuring all work is performed in accordance with safety regulations and guidelines.
- Collaborating with team members to complete complex repair projects.
- Breakdowns and underground maintenance.
- Skilled with an extensive range of mining equipment.
About You / Requirements
- Current & Valid Driver's License (manual required)
- National Police Clearance (validity dependent on site)
- Australian Recognized Trade Certificate
- Proven experience as a Heavy-Duty Mechanic working on trucks, mobile plant, or similar equipment.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals and schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to safety.

- Australian Recognized Trade Certificate
