Job Description

About the Role

  • Diagnosing mechanical issues on underground trucks, mobile plant equipment, light vehicles and other equipment as required for mining and underground.
  • Diagnosing electrical issues on underground trucks, mobile plant equipment, light vehicles and other equipment as required for mining and underground.
  • Diagnosing hydraulic issues on underground trucks, mobile plant equipment, light vehicles and other equipment as required for mining and underground.
  • Performing routine maintenance and inspections to identify potential issues and prevent breakdowns.
  • Disassembling and reassembling heavy equipment components.
  • Using diagnostic tools and equipment to assess and repair equipment efficiently.
  • Maintaining accurate records of maintenance and repair work.
  • Ensuring all work is performed in accordance with safety regulations and guidelines.
  • Collaborating with team members to complete complex repair projects.
  • Breakdowns and underground maintenance.
  • Skilled with an extensive range of mining equipment.

About You / Requirements

  • Current & Valid Driver's License (manual required)
  • National Police Clearance (validity dependent on site)
  • Australian Recognized Trade Certificate
  • Proven experience as a Heavy-Duty Mechanic working on trucks, mobile plant, or similar equipment.
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals and schematics.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Commitment to safety.

Qualifications & Certifications

  • Australian Recognized Trade Certificate
