About the Role
We’re seeking a capable and experienced Underground Mine Supervisor to lead one of our Sub Level Cave mining crews at Northparkes. In this pivotal role, you’ll be responsible for delivering safe, timely, and high-quality operating systems for both Development and Production activities related to E48 SLC. Reporting to the Mine Coordinator Operations, you’ll work closely with a dedicated team of operators and collaborate with other Underground and Technical departments. This is a leadership role where your decisions directly influence development and production outcomes. You’ll be on the ground, guiding your crew, driving safety performance, and ensuring operational targets are met. Your ability to lead from the front, maintain high standards, and foster a strong team culture will be key to your success.
Based at our Northparkes Operations you’ll be:
- Leading and mentoring your crew to deliver safe and efficient development and production.
- Driving safety conversations and improving risk assessments
- Working closely with other teams to get the job done
- Supporting team development and recognising great work

About You / Requirements
You bring a strong foundation in underground mining and proven leadership in development environments. With hands-on experience in block cave and or sub-level cave operation, you understand the complexities of the methods and how to drive safe, efficient outcomes. Your leadership style is grounded in practical know-how, a commitment to safety, and the ability to build trust and performance within your crew.
- Demonstrated experience in block cave mining and or a sub-level cave development environment.
- Strong understanding of underground development and production environments.
- A current Underground NSW Mine Supervisor Practising Certificate.
- Minimum 1 year in a Development Supervisor role.
- At least 5 years of underground mining experience.
- First Aid

- Current Driver’s Licence
