We are currently seeking an experienced Tyre Fitter to join our Carmichael Mine operations on a 7/7 rotating roster.

With recruitment hubs in Rockhampton and Townsville, we welcome applications from candidates across regional Queensland.

About the Role

As a Tyre Fitter, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient servicing of heavy earthmoving tyres and wheel assemblies across our mining fleet.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out tyre rotations, pressure checks and tyre inspections
• Removing and fitting heavy earthmoving tyres, wheels and rim assemblies
• Recording tyre usage and maintenance information accurately
• Conducting tyre and wheel inspections in accordance with site requirements
• Working independently while following direction and established procedures
• Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and contributing to practical solutions
• Maintaining a strong safety culture and ensuring all work is completed safely and efficiently

What You’ll Need

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Significant experience fitting heavy earthmoving/off-the-road tyres
• AURKTJ011 – Remove, inspect and fit earthmoving/off-the-road tyres
• AURKTJ012 – Remove, inspect and fit earthmoving/off-the-road wheel and rim assemblies
• RIIMPO208F – Operate support equipment
• RIISAM202E – Isolate and access plant
• RIISAM301F – Test operational functions of vehicles and equipment
• Current Queensland Coal Board Medical, or willingness to obtain
• Current Standard 11, or willingness to obtain
• A strong commitment to safety
• A positive attitude and strong work ethic
• The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
