About the Role
We’re currently seeking experienced Tyre Fitters to join a long-term mining project supporting a large fleet of heavy mobile equipment. This is an excellent opportunity to secure a permanent FIFO role with strong hourly rates, reliable rosters, and a site team that values safety, teamwork, and quality workmanship.
Working a 7/7 rotating roster, you’ll enjoy genuine work-life balance while being part of a well-established maintenance operation.
The Role As part of the site maintenance team, you’ll be responsible for tyre fitting and maintenance activities across a fleet of heavy mining equipment. You’ll work closely with maintenance personnel and operators to ensure equipment remains safe, productive, and operational.
Your duties will include:
- Fitting, removing, and repairing OTR tyres on heavy mobile equipment
- Completing tyre inspections and monitoring wear patterns
- Conducting pressure checks and maintaining tyre records
- Responding to tyre-related breakdowns and field service tasks
- Supporting planned maintenance activities across site
- Following site safety procedures and maintenance standards
- Working collaboratively within a high-performing crew environment
About You To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous experience working with OTR or heavy earthmoving tyres
- Relevant tyre fitting qualifications or industry-recognised competencies
- Current driver’s licence
- Standard 11 and Coal Board Medical, or willingness to obtain
- Strong commitment to safety and teamwork
- Ability to work effectively in a mining environment
