We are currently seeking experienced Truck Operators to join our high-performing team at the Renison Project in Tasmania. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a long-term underground mining operation while enjoying an excellent 1 week on, 1 week off DIDO roster that supports a genuine work-life balance.
About the Role
The Truck Operator is responsible for safely operating a truck to haul ore and waste products to the surface.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate haul trucks safely and efficiently, including conducting pre-start inspections and maintaining high equipment housekeeping standards.
- Transport ore and waste to designated locations and complete re-entries into work areas as required.
- Communicate effectively with loader and truck operators to support safe traffic management and operational efficiency.
- Comply with all site procedures, safety requirements, and operational instructions, always ensuring safe and effective work practices.
- Contribute to team performance and continuous improvement by participating in meetings, toolbox talks, shift handovers, and improvement initiatives.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
- Relevant experience in heavy industry, mining, or quarrying.
- Current licences and certifications, including a valid manual driver's licence and First Aid & CPR certificate.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
- Commitment to safety, demonstrating a safety-first approach in all work activities.
- Strong organisational skills, including the ability to prioritise tasks, adapt to changing priorities, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
