Job Description:Aquila Mine is an underground coal mine based in the heart of Middlemount, QLD. We are currently seeking a highly motivated training professional competent in developing the training plan and driving initiatives to achieve business goals. You will provide much needed assistance to the training team and work closely with the operational Training Coordinator to identify and recommend opportunities to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the training department.As the Training Officer reporting to the Training Superintendent, your duties include:Facilitate site inductions and other training activities that are conducted across the site including light vehicle, self-escape, and operational equipmentProvide coaching and mentoring to the crew trainer and assessorsContribute to the technical input into training and assessment material (including digital training material)Work with operational crews to ensure qualifications and tickets are current (including refresher courses, updated packages, etc.)Work closely with the Training Coordinator to monitor benchmarks and identify performance gaps in crew training requirementsConsistently apply Safety & Heath principles in all site interactions and take full ownership for safety on site Qualifications:The key attributes contributing to your success in this role will include:Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116/22 or equivalent) or higherOperational training experience within an underground coal mine is highly preferredProficiency in managing and delivering site-based training requirements and programsExposure in the development of training aligned to nationally recognised competency standardsHold a current S1, 2, 3 & G2 qualification (desirable)Your strong communication and team-building skills, as well as your drive to deliver high-quality output in a timely manner, will be key to your success in the role.
