Join a high-performing mining operation where training, safety, and workforce capability are a genuine priority. MacKellar is seeking an experienced Training Coordinator to support both production and maintenance crews at the Carmichael Mine in Queensland’s Galilee Basin.
This is a site-based role working closely with leaders, trainers, and operational teams to ensure employees are trained, competent, and supported across all areas of the operation.

About the Role
Reporting to the Training Superintendent, you will coordinate site training activities, maintain compliance requirements, and assist with workforce development initiatives across the operation.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Coordinating training requirements for production and maintenance personnel
- Developing and maintaining training plans for new starters and existing employees
- Monitoring workforce competencies and compliance requirements
- Supporting trainers and assessors with quality assurance processes and training records
- Identifying gaps or issues that may impact training schedules or site compliance
- Liaising with operational leaders regarding training priorities and approvals
- Delivering field-based training and assessments when required
About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Previous experience in a similar Training Coordinator role within mining
- Strong understanding of mining production and maintenance environments
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116 or equivalent)
- Current Standard 11 Statement of Attainment
- Current G2 qualification
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Current Driver Licence
