About Our Client

Our leading global mining and resource client is Australia's largest producer and supplier of seaborne metallurgical coal. With over 100 years of operation within Australia,  they mine metallurgical coal across seven sites within their Queensland Operations in the Bowen Basin with with local, DIDO and FIFO opportunities available.

What You Will Be Doing

As a Trainer Assessor, you will work across Prestrip and Coal Mining operations, combining hands-on production with workforce development. These roles require individuals who can both train and operate production equipment. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

Dump Truck Crew Trainers Prestrip (B Crew & D Crew)

• Operate & Train, assess, and mentor operators on CAT 793 & CAT 797 Dump Trucks within Prestrip Department to support production activities
• Coach operators in efficient loading practices, including single-side, double-side, and self-spotting techniques

Multi-Skilled Crew Trainers Prestrip (C Crew)

• Operate & Train, assess, and mentor operators on CAT 793 & 797 Dump Trucks, Water Trucks, Dozers, and Graders within the Prestrip Department to support production activities
• Support operator development across multiple production fleets

Critical Crew Trainers Coal Mining  (D Crew)

• Operate & Train, assess, and mentor operators on CAT 793 & CAT 797 Dump Trucks, WA1200 Loaders, and CAT 854K Wheel Dozers within the Coal Mining Department to support production activities
• Coach operators in ROM coal mining activities and production requirements

What You Will Need

All Trainer Assessors Roles

• Current Resume detailing relevant mining and training experience
• Current  Driver's Licence, Coal Board Medical &  Standard 11
• Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (TA16 or higher)
• Current Training Transcript with SSE-signed skills list demonstrating competency on the required machinery for the position applied for

In addition to the above requirement, applicants must have the below relevant requirement for the role listed:

Dump Truck Crew Trainer Prestrip (B Crew & D Crew)

• Demonstrated competency operating CAT 793 & CAT 797 Dump Trucks
• Minimum 5 years' experience operating in a production mining environment
• Extensive experience being loaded by Electric Rope Shovels
• Experience with single-side, double-side, and self-spotting techniques

Multi-Skilled Crew Trainer Prestrip (C Crew)

• Demonstrated competency operating: CAT 793 & CAT 797 Dump Trucks,Water Trucks, Dozers & Graders
• Minimum 3 years' experience operating in a production mining environment
• Experience being loaded by Electric Rope Shovels
• Experience with single-side, double-side, and self-spotting techniques

Critical Crew Trainer Coal Mining (D Crew)

• Demonstrated competency operating CAT 793 & CAT 797 Dump Trucks, WA1200 Loader & CAT 854K Wheel Dozer
• Minimum 3 years' coal mining experience with ROM operations
• Proven experience training and assessing within a production coal mining environment
• Strong understanding of coal mining production processes and critical operating standards
