Trade Assistants

About the Role

Our client is a leader in wear protection solutions for the mining and heavy industrial sectors and is seeking motivated Trade Assistants to join their growing team. This hands-on role offers a mix of workshop and site-based work, providing excellent variety and long-term career opportunities.

You will assist with the installation and maintenance of ceramic wear linings used in industrial equipment such as chutes, hoppers and pipework. These ceramic linings protect equipment from wear and are critical to maintaining efficient plant operations.

What You Will Be Doing

• Assisting with the installation of ceramic tiles and wear linings.
• Cutting, shaping and fitting ceramic materials.
• Mixing and applying specialised adhesives and grouts.
• Supporting the repair and maintenance of existing ceramic-lined equipment.
• Using a variety of hand and power tools.
• Working safely in both workshop and site environments.
• Assisting qualified tradespeople with daily tasks and shutdown work.

What You Will Need

• Previous experience as a Trade Assistant, Labourer or similar industrial role.
• Experience using hand and power tools.
• Current Driver's Licence and reliable transport.
• White Card.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work safely in workshop and mine site environments.
• Current mine site inductions and tickets are advantageous but not essential.

What's In It For You?

• 3 days on site and 2 days in the workshop each week.
• Plenty of overtime available.
• Super paid on all base hours.

Pay Rates

• Site: $37.91/hr + Penalties (12-hour shifts 3 days per week)
• Workshop: $33.90/hr + Penalties (8-hour shifts 2 days per week)
• Plenty of overtime available with penalty rates applying after 8 hours.
