Trade Assistant / Yard Hand
Welshpool Location
7 Days on, 7 Days off
Day Shifts Only, 6 AM - 6 AM

Our client is a leading heavy equipment contractor predominately servicing the mining sector. This company has been operating for over 25 years and has branches all over Australia. As a result of ongoing growth, they are seeking 2x Trade Assistants / Yard Hands to join their team on a 7:7 local roster based in Welshpool.  

Job Scope:
This role will see you working as a Trade Assistant / Yard Hand within our clients fabrication and machine department, responsible for:

  • Operating the forklift to store parts / assist with despatch within our client's workshop and yard.
  • General Trade Assistant duties such as assisting with minor repairs, using basic hand and power tools
  • Responsible for using an online inventory system to track stock.
  • Pick packing incoming orders.
  • Any other general yard and trade assistant duties as required.

Pay Rates:

  • $33.38/Hr for Monday - Friday
  • $46.73/Hr for Saturday
  • $60.08/Hr for Sunday

Requirements:

  • Forklift Licence and previous trade assistant experience.
  • Drivers Licence and reliable transport.
  • Ability to pass a Medical and Drug & Alcohol screen.
  • Ability to obtain a National Police Clearance.
  • Full Australian working rights.
