Our client is a leading Australian installer of ceramic wear liners, designed to improve the durability of mining chutes, extending their production life and keeping shutdown time to a minimum. They are currently seekingmultiple Trade Assistant / Labourers / Machine Operators to join their workshop located in Canning Vale commencing ASAP
Day Shift: Monday to Friday | 6am – 2pm | $36/hr****Afternoon Shift: Monday to Friday | 2pm – 10:30pm | $41.40/hr
The Role:
This position will see you supporting the technicians on site carrying out measuring, cutting and the installation of the ceramic wear liners. Additionally, you may be required to operate a forklift and any general labouring duties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting with technicians to move, measure, cut and install ceramic liners
- Operate a forklift to move freight and organise the workshop
- Utilising hand and power tools safely and effectively
- Maintain a clean and organised workshop environment
- Adhere to all company and site safety procedures
Requirements:
- Forklift, rigging and overhead gantry ticket
- Franna crane and/or Plasma experience is desirable
- Previous workshop, mechanical or factory experience
- Physically fit and capable of manual handling tasks
- Driver’s Licence and reliable transport
- Ability to pass a pre-employment Medical & Drug & Alcohol screen
- Full Australian working rights
