Join a highly respected and long ‑ standing mining operation in stunning North West QLD.
Your New Role
You’ll join the Project Team delivering the Camp Comms Upgrade, transforming accommodation rooms from traditional key locks to modern swipe ‑ card access. This project is expected to run for approximately 3 months, with the potential for extension, operating on an 8/6 dayshift roster. Travel options include DIDO from Cloncurry or Mt Isa, or FIFO from Townsville or Cairns. Responsibilities for this role may include, but are not limited to:
- Assisting Electricians with daily tasks and on ‑ site project activities
- Transporting tools, materials, and equipment to and from work areas
- Performing general labouring duties such as digging, sweeping, tidying, and preparing work zones
- Supporting the safe and efficient progress of the comms upgrade project
What You’ll Need to Succeed
To jump into this role, you’ll bring:
- Manual Driver's license
- Previous Trade Assistant experience in the mining industry (preferred)
- The ability to work both independently and in a team
- Ability to pass a police check and mine site medical, including D&A
- Off siding electricians or comms tech
