About the Role

We are currently seeking an experienced Train Loadout Operator to join our team at the Boonal Coal Train Loadout facility in Blackwater, Queensland. This operation supports coal handling and train load-out activities, with the role also involving Water Truck operation across site.

This is a 7/7 rotating day and night roster, with camp accommodation provided for non-local employees.

About the role
Reporting to site leadership, you will play a key role in the safe and efficient operation of the train load-out facility and associated plant equipment. You will be responsible for maintaining production targets while upholding site safety and environmental standards.

Your responsibilities will include:

• $63.86ph + super paid on all rostered hours
• Operating train load-out systems and associated mobile equipment
• Water truck operation and dust suppression activities
• Conducting pre-starts and basic equipment inspections
• Monitoring plant performance and reporting faults or hazards
• Working collaboratively with the operations team to achieve daily targets
• Maintaining a strong focus on safety, housekeeping and compliance

About you
To be successful in this role, you will bring previous mining experience and a proactive, team-focused approach to work. You will be someone who values safety, communicates well and takes pride in delivering quality outcomes.

You will have:

• Previous experience in coal train load-out operations or similar mining roles
• Experience operating heavy earthmoving equipment
• Relevant RII competencies or signed SSE transcript
• Current Queensland Coal Board Medical
• Strong understanding of site safety and environmental requirements
• Sound mechanical aptitude and ability to identify equipment issues
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• A positive attitude with willingness to learn and contribute

Trade qualifications as a Diesel Fitter or Boilermaker will be highly regarded.
