About the Role

Brunel is presently sourcing a Terminal Operator to play a key role in the safe, efficient and environmentally responsible operation of a busy terminal facility located in Western Sydney. This will be a casual contract due to commence in early October 2026. This role is responsible for operating, maintaining and repairing site facilities in a safe, cost-effective and environmentally responsible manner. The successful candidate will contribute to site safety, security, environmental protection, quality processes and business controls in accordance with operational excellence principles.

  • Manage contractor and driver safety, compliance and site inductions
  • Act as the liaison between the Control Centre, TOU and site operations
  • Coordinate inventory management and measurement activities with internal and third-party stakeholders
  • Manage site-based projects and contractor works
  • Witness meter proving activities and complete required documentation
  • Support mechanical and operational maintenance activities
  • Execute work permits and maintain operational records
  • Identify maintenance and PDM improvement requirements
  • Ensure all work complies with safety and regulatory standards

About You / Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Terminal Operator is required
  • Secondary / High School Diploma or college-level qualification
  • Completion of assigned Stage 3 Training in accordance with GMT Standards
  • High-level knowledge of measurement practices
  • Strong understanding of product quality requirements
  • Knowledge of applicable operational rules, regulations and standards
  • Proficient in MS Excel and Word
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated leadership capability
  • Ability to work independently with moderate supervision
