Company Description:Anglo American Steelmaking Coal Steelmaking coal is an essential ingredient in blast-furnace steel manufacture, producing steel used for critical building and infrastructure around the world.  In Australia, we operate five steelmaking coal mines in Queensland’s Bowen Basin, and have additional joint venture interests in steelmaking coal and manganese, as well as copper exploration projects underway in North West Queensland and Western Australia. Job Description:We are seeking an experienced Tenure Officer to support the effective delivery of tenure-related activities across the Steelmaking Coal business.The primary objective of this role is to establish, manage, and monitor the administration of Steelmaking Coal’s tenure commitments and statutory obligations. This includes assisting with the preparation and lodgement of tenure applications and dealings; managing a schedule of tenure compliance activities (such as renewals, statutory reporting, and payment of fees and charges); maintaining the tenure database; and ensuring accurate record‑keeping and document management.This role will be achieved through the following key responsibilities:Contribute to the development, implementation, monitoring, and regular review of Tenure policies, standards, and procedures in accordance with applicable legislation, industry best practice, and Anglo plc and AAMC business, SHEC, and SD principlesProvide proactive, high‑quality support and advice on tenure administration mattersAssist with the accurate and timely preparation and submission of tenure applications, renewals, and statutory reports, and support the ongoing maintenance of the tenure compliance frameworkMaintain the tenure tracking database to ensure all key dates, milestones, and statutory requirements are met, and provide timely advice and support on required actionsMaintain accurate tenure records and ensure effective document storage and retrieval systems are in place Qualifications:Experience in a similar role, particularly relating to Queensland Coal MinesA background in geology/geoscience is preferred Additional information:Permanent full-time roleCentrally located in our Brisbane CBD Corporate Office, close to train, bus and ferry connectionsCompetitive salary + 12% superannuation and annual bonusFlexible work options including WFH and 9 day fortnightPaid parental leave for both primary and secondary carersEmployee Assistance Program for employees and their familyWhat we offer When you join Anglo American, you can expect to enjoy a competitive salary and benefits package and a range of flexible work arrangements that support the balance of work, family and individual circumstances.
