About the Company

Mutanda Mining (MUMI S.A.R.L) is a mining company with headquarters at n°4746, Avenue Laurent Désiré Kabila, Mutoshi, Commune de Manika, Ville de Kolwezi. Its mining operations include an open-pit mine for copper and cobalt, and it operates a hydrometallurgical plant and a sulfuric acid plant. MUMI S.A.R.L also operates a mining site about 42 km from Kolwezi in Lualaba province, Democratic Republic of the Congo.

About the Role

Mutanda Mining (MUMI S.A.R.L) is recruiting for three positions at C5 level as Techniciens(nes) - Hydrogéologue (Technicians - Hydrogeologist). Contract type is Permanent. Application deadline is 16 September 2026. Under the direct supervision of the Hydrology Supervisor, the Hydrogeologist Technician is responsible for daily hydrogeological monitoring activities at the open-pit mine. The role contributes to the safe and efficient operation of the dewatering system by performing field inspections, collecting hydrogeological data, monitoring measurement instruments and providing reliable information to support mining and geotechnical operations. The minimum qualification is a State Diploma (secondary education); technical training in Geology, Hydrogeology, Mining Engineering or a related field is an asset. A valid driving license is required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform daily inspections of hydrogeological installations and components of the mine dewatering system in the open pit.
  • Record and verify data from hydrogeological monitoring instruments.
  • Collect, verify and update hydrogeological information for the mine database.
  • Participate in mining operations and dewatering system monitoring activities.
  • Identify and promptly report any anomaly, hazard or failure that could affect hydrogeological operations.
  • Prepare and transmit field reports to the Hydrology Supervisor.
  • Collaborate with consultants and technical specialists during hydrogeological monitoring campaigns and investigations.
  • Ensure compliance with safety procedures, environmental requirements and site operating standards.
  • Maintain hydrogeological monitoring instruments and equipment in good working order.
  • Carry out any other tasks assigned by management within the scope of responsibilities.
  • Comply with Glencore environment management requirements and MUMI SARL environmental policy.
