ABOUT THE ROLE

This role is a Permanent position on a 42-hour dayshift / nightshift roster, at our Boddington Bauxite Mine reporting to the Supervisor Maintenance.

Please note that accommodation is not provided on site, you will be required to drive in, drive out to site on a daily basis. Employees ideally live within an hour’s drive of Boddington.

As the Heavy Diesel Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for safely delivering high‑quality maintenance activities on heavy diesel equipment in line with approved systems, schedules and instructions.

Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:

• Completing work orders in accordance with SAP processes, including accurate history capture
• Executing planned and corrective tasks to agreed schedules and maintenance standards
• Contributing to fault finding, root cause analysis and equipment reliability improvements
• Scoping corrective work to support effective planning and resource allocation
• Managing parts and materials, including accurate returns of unused or repairable items
• Reporting hazards and events promptly and supporting investigations and continuous improvement

ABOUT YOU

You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:

• Maintaining heavy mobile plant in a mining or large‑scale operational environment
• Performing preventative maintenance and major component change‑outs
• Working collaboratively with maintenance, production and planning teams
• Communicating clearly, applying strong safety awareness and attention to detail

Qualifications for this position are:

• Successful completion of a Heavy Equipment Mechanical Engineering Apprenticeship and holds a nationally recognised trade certification
• Current C class driver’s license

Desirable:

• HR Class Driver’s License, High Risk Work License for forklift, High risk Elevated work platform, High Risk Dogman License, Overhead Crane, High Risk Basic rigging
