Who were looking for

Reporting to the Underground Electrical Supervisor, you will enjoy working in a close-knit team of experienced underground shift electricians and take responsibility for maintenance & install on a range of underground mining plant and electrical systems.

Key deliverables of this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Ensure work notifications are entered with the correct detail and time frame required for repair.
  • Capture and raise issues within their respective areas using the tools and systems provided e.g. work notifications, hazard cards.
  • Ensure on the completion of all maintenance tasks that all parts, materials, tools etc. are removed and the area is handed back for operation in a safe and clean state.
  • Ensure all electrical installations are in compliance with relevant Australian standards and the required paper work is filled out and filed.

As the ideal candidate, you will be a team player with excellent work ethic and a can-do attitude. You will appreciate being part of a collaborative team and foster continuous improvement through your excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills. In addition, you will also ideally have:

  • Relevant post trade experience as a qualified HV Electrician within the mining or heavy industries
  • A current NSW Electrical Supervisor/ Contractors Licence and NSW Electrical License
  • NSW Manual Class Driver's License
  • LVR/CPR tickets
  • Experience with HV or HV cable splicing & termination or a valid Working at Heights ticket will be highly desirable.

Please note: This is a full-time permanent role, based at our Cadia operation in NSW. You will be required to work a 7 days on/7 off/7 nights on/7 off roster (12-hours per day, Thursday  Wednesday). This is a residential role only (no FIFO/DIDO).
