Technical Business Analyst (Technology and Facilities)

About the Company

An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Business Analyst or Technology Consultant to support a major mining organisation through the identification phase of a significant operational transformation initiative.

This role will play a key part in shaping the future of an Integrated Remote Operations Centre (IROC), leading technology and facilities discovery activities across multiple sites and stakeholder groups. Working within a fast-paced study environment, you will assess current-state capabilities, facilitate workshops, gather requirements, identify gaps and opportunities, and help define the roadmap for future design and implementation phases. The role has a strong consulting and stakeholder engagement focus, requiring an individual who can quickly understand new domains, build credibility with technical and operational teams, and present findings in a practical and meaningful way.

About the Role

As the Work stream Lead for Technology and Facilities, you will:

• Lead discovery and requirements gathering activities across technology and facilities domains
• Facilitate stakeholder workshops, interviews and technical assessments
• Analyse current-state environments and identify future-state requirements
• Assess risks, constraints and opportunities across infrastructure, operational technology and facilities
• Develop concept-level recommendations and support future planning activities
• Benchmark existing operational environments and industry-leading practices
• Translate technical findings into meaningful business outcomes and recommendations
• Produce high-quality study deliverables for senior stakeholders and governance forums

What you'll need to succeed

You will ideally bring:

• Strong Business Analysis, discovery and requirements elicitation experience
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and workshop facilitation skills
• Experience working across complex technology environments
• A consulting background or demonstrated ability to rapidly understand new domains
• Experience leading assessments, studies, reviews or transformation initiatives
• Ability to influence and engage technical and operational stakeholders
• Ability and willingness to travel to remote sites across South Australia, including by air travel.
• Exposure to operational technology, industrial environments, mining technology or control systems will be highly regarded
