About the Role

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Business Analyst to support a busy Technology Operations environment. Working closely with business stakeholders, Technology Operations leads and technical specialists, you will act as the bridge between business and technology teams. You’ll translate operational needs into clear requirements, improve processes and documentation, and support technology initiatives from initial analysis through to implementation and operational handover.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather, analyse and document business, functional, non-functional and support requirements.
• Facilitate workshops and engage with business users, application owners and technical teams.
• Develop current and future-state process maps, system connections and integration documentation.
• Support initiatives across networks, applications, infrastructure, cloud, workplace technology, service delivery and cybersecurity.
• Identify opportunities to simplify technology services, reduce costs and improve user experience.
• Develop acceptance criteria, test scenarios and implementation documentation.
• Support testing, change readiness, implementation and operational handover.
• Assist with technology lifecycle, service improvement and roadmap activities.
• Support options analysis, technology selection and cost-benefit assessments.
• Help standardise, simplify and automate recurring operational activities and processes.

What you'll need to succeed

• Demonstrated Business Analysis experience within technology operations, infrastructure, networks, applications or systems environments.
• Strong requirements' elicitation, process analysis and documentation skills.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and workshop facilitation capability.
• Ability to confidently translate between business stakeholders and technical specialists.
• Experience supporting technology change, testing, implementation and operational handover.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and options assessment skills.
• Understanding of application ownership, support models, service responsibilities and technology lifecycle activities.
• Familiarity with process/architecture diagramming and collaboration tools.
• Exposure to cloud technologies and enterprise platforms would be highly regarded.
• Strong communication, organisation and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
