Newmont Tanami is on Aboriginal freehold land 540km northwest of Alice Springs. It is a long-life, low-cost, world-class asset in a core Newmont region. The Tanami Expansion 2 project, aims to extend the mine life beyond 2040, investing in a hoisting shaft which will increase the production of the underground mine from 2.6 Mtpa to 3.2 Mtpa. Both the successful exploration within the underground operation and implementation of the first Tanami Expansion has laid the foundation to further develop the operation to remain a major contributor to the Newmont portfolio. A fully equipped camp is located 40km from the site offering leisure facilities for those flying in from Perth, Brisbane, Alice Springs or Darwin.

About the Role
As Team Lead, Facilities, you will manage village services at Tanami with a strong focus on contractor performance, safety and resident experience.
This is a hands-on, operational role where you will oversee the camp services contractor, ensuring delivery against scope, KPIs and site expectations while managing issues in real time.
You will be responsible for navigating day-to-day challenges - from service delivery and resident concerns to cost pressures - and making decisions on the ground to see outcomes through.
To Be Successful in This Role, You Will Bring
- Proven experience in contractor and vendor management within mining, resources or remote operations, with the ability to hold providers accountable to scope, KPIs and safety standards
- Strong working knowledge of village operations, including catering, accommodation and facilities services, with a focus on delivering a high standard of resident experience
- Demonstrated capability in managing budgets and cost control, ensuring services are delivered efficiently within departmental targets
- Sound understanding of safety, health and environmental requirements in a mining or heavy industry environment, with the ability to provide visible safety leadership
- Experience conducting inspections, audits and performance reviews, and driving continuous improvement with service providers
- Ability to manage issues end-to-end, including responding to resident complaints and resolving operational challenges as they arise
- Strong organisational capability to coordinate accommodation, site access and village logistics, while identifying and managing associated risks
- Confidence to engage and communicate with site stakeholders, including presenting performance, challenges and forward plans
- Ability to make decisions in a fast-paced, changing environment and adapt to shifting priorities on site
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with exposure to systems such as INX InFlight or similar being advantageous
Highly regarded:
- Background in hospitality, catering or camp services operations
- Experience working in remote FIFO mining environments
