Join our Downer Professional Services team and play a key role in delivering complex defence and national security projects that safeguard Australia’s future.
Downer Professional Services comprises of three business units our Technical, Advisory, and Capability consulting practice, and Team Downer, which partners with CASG and NSSG as a major service provider to Defence. Together, we are a multi-disciplinary advisory and delivery partner of choice for clients across Defence and National Security.
We currently have an opportunity for a Systems Administrator in Bungendore to work on marine projects**.**
What You’ll Do
This role offers a broad scope, with key role responsibilities including:

Providing Level 1 and 2 Systems Administrator support.

Contribute to network design, implementation, configuration and troubleshooting.

Providing hardware, software and network interface testing and end-user support practices.

Effectively communicating technical and non-technical issues with system users, software engineers, database administrators, testers.
What You’ll Bring
- Hands‑on support responsibilities, experience with RH Linux and Windows, including previous experience in level 1 and 2 System Administrator support.
- Extensive experience with computer hardware, software and network design, configuration and troubleshooting methods and procedures including developing plans and schedules, estimating resource requirements.
- Experience supporting a wide range of Information Assurance and maintenance to carry out assignments and support operations of cyber system IT architecture.
- Knowledge of relational databases and its uses in analysing reports of software application and data problems with large relational databases
- Knowledge of SCIF protocols.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
Due to the nature of the work, you are required to currently hold and maintain a Security clearance as required by the Commonwealth. In some instances, compliance with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) requirements may also be an inherent requirement.
