Surface Mine Surveyor

The Opportunity

Join a gold operation at a pivotal stage of growth, with active open pit production, underground development underway and an approximate 8-year mine life.

Located within the highly prospective Tennant Creek Mineral Field, this opportunity sits with one of Australia's growing gold producers, focused on developing and operating high-quality gold assets in the Northern Territory.

Working closely with the Technical Services team, you'll play a key role in delivering accurate survey data that supports mining operations, compliance requirements and mine planning activities across a growing operation.

Reporting to the Senior Mine Surveyor, you will provide survey support to mining operations, ensuring the timely delivery of accurate survey information and spatial data.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct pit surveys and survey set-outs
• Maintain survey control networks
• Complete volume calculations and reconciliation surveys
• Undertake drone surveys and process survey data
• Conduct monitoring and compliance surveys
• Manage survey and spatial data
• Produce survey plans, outputs and reports
• Ensure survey activities are completed safely and in accordance with site requirements

About You

• Degree or recognised qualification in Surveying, Spatial Science or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years' mine surveying experience
• Experience with survey control, compliance surveys, volume calculations and spatial data management
• Proficiency with GNSS/GPS equipment, Total Stations and drone survey technologies
• Experience using Deswik, survey software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safe work practices

Requirements

• Current Australian C class driver's licence
• National police clearance issued within the last six months
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screening.
