About the Company
Are you an experienced HD Fitter looking for your next FIFO opportunity on a high-performing surface mining operation? We are currently seeking skilled Heavy Duty Fitters to join a leading mining contractor operating across multiple sites throughout Western Australia. About the Role
As a Surface HD Fitter, you will be responsible for carrying out planned and breakdown maintenance across a large fleet of mobile mining equipment. Working within a collaborative maintenance team, you will play a key role in ensuring maximum equipment availability and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance
- Breakdown diagnosis, fault-finding and repairs
- Major component change-outs
- Hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical troubleshooting
- Machine inspections and reporting
- Root cause analysis of equipment failures
- Working safely in accordance with site procedures and standards
- Completing all maintenance documentation accurately and efficiently

What you'll need to succeed
- Australian Recognised Trade Certificate (Heavy Diesel Mechanic / Mobile Plant Mechanic or equivalent)
- Previous mining experience on heavy mobile equipment
- Current C Class Driver's Licence
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening
- National Police Clearance (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Commitment to safety and teamwork
