About the Role

As a Surface HD Fitter, you will be responsible for carrying out planned and breakdown maintenance across a large fleet of mobile mining equipment. Working within a collaborative maintenance team, you will play a key role in ensuring maximum equipment availability and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance
• Breakdown diagnosis, fault-finding and repairs
• Major component change-outs
• Hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical troubleshooting
• Machine inspections and reporting
• Root cause analysis of equipment failures
• Working safely in accordance with site procedures and standards
• Completing all maintenance documentation accurately and efficiently

• 777, 785, 789, 793 Trucks
• D10, D11 Dozers
• 992, 994 Loaders
• 16M & 24M Graders
• 6040 & 6060 Excavators

Komatsu

• HD785, HD1500, 830E, 930E Haul Trucks
• WA600, WA900 Loaders
• D375 Dozers
• PC1250, PC2000 Excavators

What you'll need to succeed

• Australian Recognised Trade Certificate (Heavy Diesel Mechanic / Mobile Plant Mechanic or equivalent)
• Previous mining experience on heavy mobile equipment
• Current C Class Driver's Licence
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening
• National Police Clearance (or willingness to obtain)
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
• Commitment to safety and teamwork
