Our Opportunity
Location: Iron Bridge – Fortescue’s Iron Bridge project is located on the traditional lands of the Nyamal people
Roster: 8D 6R 7N 7R FIFO ex Perth
As Mine Control Supervisor you will be responsible and accountable for the mine and drill controllers interaction with mine site operations in supporting the decision-making process of the Fleet Management System and cost reduction initiatives in line with site KPI’s.
You will also provide leadership and direction to the Mine Controllers and Drill Controllers to ensure that the business and mine plan objectives are met and consistently achieved, in line with the HSE policies
Key Responsibilities
- Day-to-day supervision and coordination of all Mine and Drill Control personnel to minimise disruption while maximising productivity, efficiency and safety
- Manage and monitor team training to ensure development plans are implemented effectively and in a timely manner
- Provide clear and consistent direction on mining procedures, equipment utilisation and Fleet Management System operation
- Act as a key communication link between Production, Maintenance, Planning and OPF to minimise production and maintenance delays
- Monitor operational performance and support cost reduction initiatives aligned to site KPIs
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, policies and procedures at all times
Qualifications and Experience
- Demonstrated leadership experience in a supervisory role mandatory
- Previous Mine Control experience, including working with Fleet Management Systems
- Strong knowledge of heavy equipment operations in an open cut mining environment
- Ability to make effective, intuitive decisions under pressure
- Sound knowledge of mine workplace safety requirements and procedures
- Strong computer literacy skills
- Excellent organisational skills with strong written and verbal communication capability
