Our Opportunity
Work Location: Fortescue’s Hedland Operations are located on the traditional lands of the Kariyarra people.
Roster: 14D/14R - FIFO ex Perth
Fortescue is seeking a motivated and experienced Maintenance Supervisor with a background in non-process infrastructure to lead maintenance and village operations across Club Hamilton, Rail Camp 145, and Rail Camp 25.
In this role, you will lead a diverse, multi-skilled team including electricians, refrigeration technicians, plumbers, carpenters, and apprentices, supporting the upkeep and reliability of village assets. Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent, you will play a key role in ensuring all maintenance activities are carried out safely, compliantly, and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support a multidisciplinary team of tradespeople and apprentices
- Ensure all repairs and installations meet statutory and company standards
- Oversee both planned and breakdown maintenance activities
- Maintain accurate records in SAP and relevant logbooks
- Authorise maintenance work and review risk assessments
- Facilitate daily toolbox and safety meetings
- Promote and uphold Fortescue’s safety values and procedures
- Coordinate contractor mobilisation, cost tracking, and timesheet approvals
- Maintain Electrical Nominee capability within the team
- Support adherence to Fortescue’s work management principles
Qualifications and Experience
- Proven leadership in maintenance or similar environments
- Familiarity with SAP, BMS, and site procedures (preferred)
- Strong communication and risk management skills
- Ability to prioritise and lead diverse teams
- Commitment to safety and continuous improvement
- A Class Electrical Trade Qualification with Electrical Nominee certification; or relevant trade qualification
- Schedule 26 Statutory Supervisor certification
- Experience with statutory inspections and reporting
