About the Company
Batchfire Resources is the owner of Callide Mine in Central Queensland, an open-cut coal operation located 120km south west of Gladstone and 20km northeast of the thriving regional township of Biloela.
A long-standing operation, Callide Mine is an open-cut coal mine producing 11mtpa of thermal coal for domestic power generation, alumina refining, and export markets. The operation has extensive recoverable coal reserves and long-term supply contracts in place, ensuring a long-term future.
About the Role
Lead a high-performing mining team at Callide Mine, supervising day-to-day operations, mentoring operators and production crews, and coordinating daily work activities to meet production targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervising day-to-day mining operations
- Leading and mentoring operators and production crews
- Coordinating daily work activities to meet production targets
- Monitoring compliance with site safety procedures and standards
- Liaising with site management and other departments
- Conducting pre-start meetings and safety inspections
- Ensuring equipment and personnel are utilised efficiently
- Completing shift reports and operational documentation
About You / Requirements
- Previous experience as a Mining Supervisor
- Current Standard 11
- Current Coal Board Medical
- Current Driver's Licence
- Demonstrated leadership experience within a mining environment
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Commitment to workplace health and safety
- Relevant Supervisor qualifications
