Job Description
Roster: 2:1 - 14 days on 7 days off | OTE: 206k + $810 day rate
Reports to: Manager Health & Safety
Chandler Macleod is looking for a hands-on WHS Superintendent with mining or resources experience to help set up safety for a new mining operation. If you enjoy building practical systems, supporting site teams and getting operations ready to run safely and comfortable to work in a DIDO role.
What you’ll do
- Set up WHS systems, procedures and site safety standards.
- Support contractor onboarding, mobilisation and operational readiness.
- Lead risk reviews, audits, critical controls and safety checks.
- Work with crews, contractors and leaders to build a strong safety culture.
What you’ll bring
- WHS/HSE leadership experience in mining, resources or heavy industry.
- Strong understanding of WHS legislation, risk controls and site compliance.
- A practical, confident style with the ability to influence people on site.
Qualifications
- Cert IV, Diploma or tertiary qualification in WHS/OHS or similar.
- Incident investigation or risk management training highly regarded.
- Site tickets such as First Aid, 4WD, Working at Heights or Confined Space are a bonus.
