To support our continued growth on this exciting journey we are on the lookout for a passionate, driven and suitably experienced Geology Superintendent to join the Geology Team.  Underpinned by the Genesis ASPIRE values, you will coordinate the mine geology function on an operational, administrative and technical level on a medium-to-long term horizon. This requires thorough knowledge of mine geology and mining processes, an understanding of all operational components of the mining value chain and how these interact, and the ability to manage the team, prioritise work and allocate resources to meet site objectives.

In the role you will implement strategies set by higher management and ensure compliance with safety and Genesis standards. You must also be able to exercise consistently good judgement and a high degree of autonomy to ensure that production physicals can be sustainably met.

This is a permanent full time role on a 8 days on / 6 days off / 4 days on / 3 days off roster. This role may be Fly-in Fly-out from Perth, Drive-in Drive-out from Kalgoorlie or residential in Leonora.

The Opportunity:

• Contribution to the medium-to-long term site planning function, including near mine exploration, resource, 3MS, budgets and LOM.
• Ensure that systems are in place for collection, maintenance and quality assurance of geological data for use in downstream resource and reconciliation functions.
• Oversees daily geological activities on-site, ensuring that projects and tasks are executed efficiently and in line with company standards.
• Budget and implement sufficient resources to meet the requirements of the mine geology function.
• Ensure the appropriate geology reports are compiled and submitted in a timely manner.
• Monitor mine-to-mill and modifying factor reconciliation and action as required.
• Provide a structured and supportive work environment for all staff to engage and develop.

We’re excited to hear from you if you have:

• A degree qualification in a Geology related discipline
• Strong demonstrated UG mine geology experience in gold with a mixture of OP, UG, resource and management experience
• Strong ability to work effectively within a team
• Strong communication skills, including communicating with people from different backgrounds and cultures
• Site statutory supervisor qualification - preferred
• Commercial acumen relevant to the role
