About the Role

We are currently seeking an experienced Subsea Mechanical / Hydraulic Technician to join a leading team supporting offshore operations and subsea tooling projects. This role will suit a hands-on technician with strong fault-finding capability and experience working with complex mechanical, hydraulic, and electronic systems.

  • Offshore / Workshop-Based (FIFO/Offshore rotations as required)

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble and test electronic equipment, subsea tooling, and associated assets
  • Service and maintain subsea assets and engineered tooling
  • Interpret and work from hydraulic and electrical schematics, as well as engineering drawings
  • Operate a range of hand, hydraulic, and pneumatic tools safely and effectively
  • Perform fault-finding across mechanical, hydraulic, and electronic systems
  • Complete detailed testing and servicing documentation to a high standard
  • Accurately enter and manage data within project and asset management systems
  • Conduct quality checks to ensure tools meet design, assembly, and functional requirements

Qualifications & Experience

  • Trade qualification in Mechanical Fitting or Hydraulics (or similar)
  • 3–5 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Proven offshore experience within Oil & Gas, Subsea, ROV, or ROV Tooling environments
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills

Tickets & Certifications

  • Current BOSIET / FOET (with CA-EBS)
  • Ability to pass OGUK Medical
  • Valid Forklift Licence (desirable)

Skills & Attributes

  • Solid computer skills (Microsoft Word & Excel)
  • Strong understanding of safety systems including Step Back 5x5, JSEA, and HSEQ
  • High attention to detail and quality standards
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in a team
  • Willingness to learn and develop within a specialised subsea environment
