Structural Checker – Senior Level

A leading engineering consultancy is seeking an experienced Structural Checker to support major materials handling and process plant projects. This role will play a key part in ensuring design quality, compliance, and consistency across multidisciplinary deliverables.
Key Responsibilities:

• Check structural and mechanical design drawings for accuracy and compliance
• Ensure all CAD deliverables align with company and project procedures
• Verify drawings meet relevant Australian and international standards
• Review vendor drawings and integrate design data into project outputs
• Support continuous improvement across design quality and safety
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across engineering functions

Key Requirements:

• 10+ years’ experience in structural/mechanical drafting and design
• Minimum 5 years in a dedicated checking role
• Strong background across materials handling and process plant layouts
• Proven experience in full plant layout and detailed design environments
• Sound understanding of fabrication and construction methodologies
• Proficiency in MicroStation (2D & 3D)
• Relevant qualification in Engineering Design Drafting or similar
