- Roster: 7 days on, 7 days off – dayshift only roster pattern
- Hours: 12 hour work day
- Transport: Drive in, drive out on a daily basis from the local region

About the Role
Macmahon Underground is returning to New Zealand and seeking experienced Storepersons to join our team at the Snowy River Gold Mine Project near Reefton on New Zealand’s South Island.
As part of this exciting opportunity, Macmahon will deliver underground development, production and backfill services from October 2026.
We are looking for experienced Storepersons to support the underground team with receiving and recording deliveries, dispatching, inventory management and light yard duties, whilst remaining safety- focused and contributing to a strong team culture.
Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Manage the receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods to support underground mining operations.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and perform regular stocktakes and cycle counts.
- Ensure timely and accurate picking, packing, and distribution of parts, tools, and consumables.
- Support site logistics and yard operations while maintaining housekeeping standards.
- Communicate effectively with operational teams to ensure materials are available when needed.
- Champion safe work practices and contribute to a positive, collaborative team culture.

What You’ll Bring
- Previous warehousing or stores experience, ideally within mining, construction, or heavy industry.
- Experience using SAP or similar inventory management systems.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
- Experience with stocktakes, cycle counts, and inventory control.
- Sound understanding of mechanical parts, equipment, and consumables.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- A safety-first mindset with the ability to follow site procedures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid Class 1 (unrestricted manual) New Zealand drivers licence (essential) with a Dangerous Goods (D) endorsement (desirable).
- Current Forklift Licence and/or Integrated Tool Carrier (IT) ticket (essential).
